Where

The Ballroom, Detroit

10235 Gratiot Ave

About

October 1, 2005. Twelve hours of beepin'. The Ballroom at 10235 Gratiot got freshened up with three areas and three bars, and the smiley face took over Detroit. The big news was the Wall of Bass. DJ ESP aka Woody McBride brought his legendary monster rig to Detroit for the first time, 40 feet wide and 10 feet tall. Dave the Drummer came in from the UK, Terry Mullan from San Diego, Angel Alanis from Los Angeles, Danny Tha Wildchild and Phantom 45 from Chicago, plus Punisher, Mike Parker, St. Vitas live, Mike Hawk, Sonar and Lady Crysis, T3, Jethrox from Drop Bass Network, Felton "The Master" Howard and Frankie Vega vs Acid Pimp. The undercard ran two columns deep. Detroit Collective, Golden Phoenix, King James and The Genius of Fun put it together. Doors at 10, 18 and up, 21 to drink. $20 presale at Detroit Threads in Hamtramck, $25 at the door.
