Plan your exit before the party even starts. Know which streets lead out of the venue, keep your phone charged, and have a few backup routes in mind. A quick glance at the map on your phone can save you from wandering into a dead end when the lights go out.

Pick a reliable ride option early. If you’re using a rideshare app, request the car a few minutes before you plan to leave so the driver can meet you at the exit. If you’re going with a group, assign one person as the designated driver and make sure they stay sober. Public transit can be a solid fallback, just check the schedule in advance.

Stay safe while you wait for your ride. Share your live location with a trusted friend, keep your ID and a little cash on you, and never leave your drink unattended. If you’re walking, stick to well lit streets and move in a group whenever possible.

Have a backup plan in case things go sideways. Keep a spare charger or power bank in your bag, know the nearest 24‑hour coffee shop or convenience store, and have a contact you can call if you feel uneasy. A little extra preparation turns a six‑a‑mireturn into a smooth, stress‑free finish.
