Plan your exit before the night even starts. Agree on a meeting spot in case someone gets separated, and decide whether you’ll use rideshare, a designated driver, or public transit. Having a clear plan removes the scramble when the music finally fades.

Keep your phone charged and bring a power bank. Share your location with a trusted friend who isn’t at the event, so they can check in if you go silent. A fully charged phone is your lifeline for calling a ride, a cab, or a friend who can pick you up.

Know the options for getting out of the area. Download the rideshare app ahead of time, check the last train or bus times, and have a small amount of cash for a taxi if the app is down. Knowing the route and having a backup payment method prevents panic when the first choice isn’t available.

Stay hydrated and eat something before you leave. A little food and water keep your energy up and reduce the risk of feeling light‑headed on a late‑night walk. Keep your belongings close, and avoid walking alone in dimly lit streets - stick to well‑lit paths or travel with a group.

Trust your gut. If a situation feels off, call a friend, a rideshare driver, or security for help. It’s always better to be safe and take a few extra minutes than to risk an unsafe situation.
